SEXY FREIGHT FORWARDING…………… that’s right you read it right!
Worldwide prestigious specialist transportation company with over three decades in the industry looking after some of the world’s most luxurious and rare vehicles are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate experienced Export Airfreight Customs Clerk to join their team in rural Suffolk, near Bury St Edmunds.
Due to the location, it is essential that you can drive here.
Keeping paperwork moving faster than a luxury sports car on the autobahn!
As a Customs Broker, you’ll be the heroic middle ground between internal stakeholders, customs authorities, and the mysterious world of international paperwork. Your mission? Keep vehicles, documents, and clients moving smoothly across borders — ideally without anyone uttering the words “Where’s the paperwork?”
You’ll coordinate customs services, solve problems before they become dramas, and work closely with internal teams to ensure every shipment gets the VIP treatment it deserves.
Key Responsibilities
- Air Freight Wizardry: Prepare Airfreight Export paperwork with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker (and preferably fewer headaches).
- Customs Clearance Mastery: Liaise with internal departments to ensure paperwork is customs-ready and not “creative interpretation” ready. Handle import/export customs entries from start to finish, raise T-Forms for European trucking, and discharge them like the customs superhero you are.
- Tailored Solutions: Work with internal stakeholders to understand their timelines, budgets, and occasional last-minute panics — then provide solutions that keep everything on track.
- Service Coordination: Manage customs schedules for Bonded Warehouse, T-Form, and IPR authorisations, while keeping quarterly returns under control and avoiding spreadsheet-induced despair.
- Documentation Management: Collect and manage documentation from clients, agents, and stakeholders. Chase missing paperwork with the persistence of a detective in a crime drama.
- Customer Service Excellence: Take ownership of client issues, respond quickly, and turn customs chaos into calm reassurance.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in the customs industry (meaning you already know customs is never “just a quick job”).
- Solid knowledge of customs procedures.
- Experience with Destin8 and CNS Port Systems.
- Familiarity with Sequoia and/or Freight Fax Systems.
- Comfortable handling import/export paperwork for sea and air freight worldwide.
- Ability to work under pressure without dramatically flipping a desk.
- Excellent IT and communication skills.
Why Join
- Be part of a team setting the standard in high-value & luxury automotive logistics — because ordinary cargo is too ordinary.
- Work in a supportive, entrepreneurial, and genuinely fun environment where people actually enjoy working together.
- Enjoy opportunities for growth, learning, and making a real impact in the world of bespoke vehicle transportation.
- Spend your days helping incredible vehicles travel the globe legally, efficiently, and with considerably
