We’re looking for 2 x Labourers to join our client’s expanding operation in Felixstowe.

This is a great opportunity to get stuck into a new project with full training provided, consistent Monday–Friday hours and ongoing work through to the end of the year.

If you’re physically fit, reliable and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the role for you.

The Role

You’ll be working within a busy container yard, carrying out a variety of practical and physical tasks.

From unloading vehicles and removing securing straps to reconnecting batteries and preparing materials for recycling, you’ll be an important part of keeping the operation moving safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Work within a busy container yard in all weather conditions — Felixstowe sunshine not guaranteed!

Unload vehicles from shipping containers.

Cut and remove securing straps from containers.

Remove loading frames and prepare them for recycling.

Reconnect vehicle batteries.

Carry out visual inspections for damage and record findings with photographs.

Sort and dispose of recyclable materials correctly.

Carry out manual handling, lifting and general labouring duties.

Work in confined spaces, including tight areas underneath and alongside vehicles inside containers.

Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site regulations at all times.

Who You Are

You’re reliable, punctual and hardworking.

You’re physically able and comfortable with manual handling throughout the day.

You’re happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You’re comfortable working in confined and restricted spaces.

You have good attention to detail and take Health & Safety seriously.

You can work independently but also enjoy being part of a team.

Previous yard, warehouse or manual labouring experience is advantageous — but not essential, as full training is provided.

A UK Driving Licence is required.
