We are recruiting for a Trainee Repairer / Fabrication Welder to join a highly respected container repair operation in Felixstowe. What You'll Be Doinging alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll receive training and practical experience in:

Work

  • Fabrication welding and straightening of ISO containers

  • Removing damaged sections and installing replacement components

  • General engineering repairs, including patches, insulation, door hardware, seals, drains and ventilators

  • Replacing and sectioning plywood flooring

  • Preparing and painting completed repairs to a high standard

  • Supporting general container repair and maintenance activities

  • Assisting with additional workshop duties as required

What We're Looking For:

Essential

  • Fabrication welding experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Reliable and hardworking approach

Desirable

  • Previous engineering or fabrication workshop experience

No ISO container repair experience is required, as full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
