Job Role: Trainee Repairer/Fabrication Welder

Location: Felixstowe

Hours: Monday to Friday, 0830-1630

Contract: Full Time, Permanent (via Temp to Perm)

Salary: £12.21 per hour PLUS monthly bonus scheme

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their welding career who is looking to gain hands-on experience and develop specialist skills. You will join a well-established container repair operation where full training on ISO containers is provided and ongoing development is encouraged.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you’ll complete repairs on ISO containers in line with IICL standards, including:

• Fabrication welding and straightening of ISO containers
• Removing damaged sections and fitting new components
• General engineering tasks such as fitting patches, insulation, door hardware, seals, drains, and ventilators
• Replacing and sectioning plywood flooring
• Painting completed repairs to a high standard
• Carrying out general labour duties related to container repairs
• Supporting the team and assisting with additional tasks as required by your manager

What We’re Looking For

• Fabrication welding experience (essential)
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Interest in developing specialist skills within the container repair industry

No prior ISO container experience needed — full training provided
