TLP Recruitment are hiring Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a major logistics operator in Totton, Southampton. You’ll get a fixed evening shift pattern, strong annual pay, and full support from day one, with the chance to go permanent once you’ve proven yourself.

The role

• Shunt Class 1 vehicles safely around the site for loading/unloading
• Hitch and unhitch trailers, securing loads correctly
• Reverse onto ramps and manage trailer movements in a compact yard
• Complete daily vehicle and trailer checks
• Help with wider yard operations as needed

What we’re looking for

• Class 1 (C+E) licence with CPC & Digi Tacho
• Experience with curtain-sided trailers
• Solid understanding of load security and manual handling
• Reliable, safety-minded, and professional under pressure

This is a structured, hands-on role with clear hours, solid pay, and a real route to a permanent contract with a respected national operator.
