TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join a well-established logistics and distribution operation based in the South West on a 12-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to go permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning and organisational skills to join a busy transport team and potentially secure a long-term position.

Monday to Friday role
Salary starting from £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Immediate start available
Work within a supportive and collaborative team environment
Opportunity to take ownership of transport planning and operations
Weekly pay (while on agency)
Pro-rata Paid Annual Leave for PAYE employees

The Role

Planning and scheduling deliveries to meet customer demand
Managing vehicle routes to maximise efficiency and utilisation
Working closely with drivers, external hauliers and agencies
Handling re-deliveries and resolving service-related issues
Monitoring transport costs and maintaining accurate records
Managing returnable packaging and stock levels
Processing driver payroll information and ensuring documentation is prepared
Communicating daily with drivers and internal teams regarding delivery updates
Investigating and signing off transport-related issues or complaints

What do we need from you?

Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator, able to liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams
Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good IT skills (including spreadsheets and transport systems)
Understanding of driver hours, compliance and transport operations (preferred)
Positive, team-focused attitude
