Well establish plant hire company with UK coverage are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter with diesel generator experience to join their team in Bury St Edmunds

The Role:

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you’ll be responsible for the service, maintain, and repair our clients generators on site and at their home depot. This is a varied role with real autonomy—no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections on plant equipment
• Diagnose, Service and repair Diesel products on site or at home depot.
• Attend breakdowns in a timely and professional manner
• Complete job sheets and reports accurately
• Liaise with the service team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

About You:

• Proven experience as a diesel plant fitter, service engineer, or similar
• Strong knowledge of generators desirable but will consider similar experience for the right candidate
• NVQ Level 2/3 in a diesel generator level degree or equivalent (desirable but will definitely consider time served Plant Fitters/Engineers 2-3+ years)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused
