Can you keep a warehouse running smoother than Amazon Prime?
Do you know your pallet from your pick face? Can you spot a forklift doing something questionable from 100 metres away? Are you the sort of manager who can solve three problems before you've even finished your coffee?
If you answered yes, keep reading.
We're looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead our late shift at our busy Ipswich operation, specialising in Amazon FBA fulfilment. This isn't a role where you'll spend your evening hiding in the office behind spreadsheets (although there'll be a few of those too). We need someone who enjoys being out on the warehouse floor, leading by example and keeping operations running like clockwork.
You'll be responsible for a team of:
- 8-10 Handballers (who somehow make unloading containers look like an Olympic sport)
- 10-14 Forklift Drivers (whose favourite phrase is "I was only moving it...")
- 2 Shift Supervisors who'll help keep everything moving in the right direction.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the warehouse operation during the late shift.
- Leading, motivating and developing your warehouse team.
- Making sure Amazon FBA orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Keeping productivity high without sacrificing quality.
- Monitoring KPIs and finding ways to improve efficiency.
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
- Planning labour and resources to meet changing workloads.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Dealing with the unexpected... because warehouses have a habit of keeping life interesting.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous Warehouse Management or Senior Warehouse Supervisor experience.
- Experience leading sizeable warehouse teams.
- A background within logistics, warehousing or fulfilment.
- Excellent people management skills—you know how to get the best from your team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A good understanding of warehouse KPIs and continuous improvement.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Experience with Amazon FBA or e-commerce fulfilment would be a huge advantage.
If you're the kind of Warehouse Manager who enjoys leading from the front, thrives in a fast-paced environment and doesn't panic when three wagons arrive at once, we'd love to hear from you.
