Ready to take full ownership of a well-respected Construction companies supply chain?

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Supply & Procurement Manager to lead the end-to-end Supply Chain function for a well-established and growing international construction business.

This is a brand new senior leadership role with responsibility for bringing together procurement, suppliers, inventory, S&OP, demand planning, production, logistics and distribution to deliver reliable supply, excellent service and improved efficiency.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex supply chain challenges, and can confidently lead teams, suppliers and stakeholders — we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll take full ownership of the Supply Chain function, leading:

  • Procurement & Supplier Management — managing global suppliers, the parent company and external partners
  • S&OP, Demand Planning & Forecasting — balancing demand, supply and capacity with a long-term view
  • Inventory & Stock Management — optimising stock levels, availability and working capital
  • Production Planning — including third-party and contract manufacturing
  • Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution — working closely with the Logistics team to optimise service and efficiency
  • Supply Chain Risk & Resilience — proactively identifying and mitigating supply disruption
  • Returns Management — improving processes, reducing costs and identifying underlying issues

In short, you’ll ensure the right products are available, in the right place, at the right time — while balancing service, cost, inventory and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute the overall Supply Chain strategy
  • Lead a robust S&OP process, connecting Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics and Product teams
  • Drive improved forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation and service levels
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with the parent company and global supplier network
  • Negotiate and manage supplier SLAs, performance and commercial agreements
  • Identify and proactively manage supply chain risks, delays and potential disruptions
  • Analyse data and KPIs to identify root causes, bottlenecks, waste and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead initiatives that reduce cost, improve productivity and increase operational efficiency
  • Develop and improve Supply Chain systems, processes and reporting
  • Ensure appropriate import and export compliance across the UK operation
  • Work closely with the Head of Logistics and wider business to create a fully integrated Supply Chain approach

Leadership

You’ll lead and develop a Supply Chain team of 13, creating a high-performing, collaborative and engaging environment.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing capability, performance and accountability across the team
  • Training, coaching and succession planning
  • Setting objectives and conducting performance reviews
  • Maintaining appropriate training and competency levels
  • Supporting the team through periods of high demand and operational pressure
  • Leading by example and creating a positive, inclusive and solutions-focused culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven senior-level experience across Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or a related function
  • Strong experience of S&OP, demand planning, forecasting and inventory management
  • Demonstrable experience managing suppliers and commercial relationships
  • Proven people-management and leadership experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience using ERP systems, data and KPIs to drive performance
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
  • A proactive approach to risk management and supply-chain resilience
  • The ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-focused when things don’t go to plan

Desirable

  • Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience of contract or third-party manufacturing
  • Knowledge of UK import and export requirements
  • Experience working within an international supply chain
  • Experience developing Supply Chain systems, processes or reporting

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to make a genuine strategic impact — leading a significant Supply Chain function, developing a team of 13, strengthening supplier relationships and driving improvements across the wider business.

If you’re ready to take ownership, solve problems and build a more resilient, efficient and high-performing Supply Chain, we want to hear from you.
