The Opportunity

We're looking for a Recruitment Resourcer to support our Southampton temporary recruitment operation, helping us develop strong local networks of drivers and logistics candidates across Hampshire and the surrounding South Coast.

This is a relationship-led role. We need someone who enjoys talking to people, building trust and staying close to their candidate network – knowing who is available, who may be becoming available and who they might know.

We can offer flexible or hybrid working for someone based within practical reach of Southampton. You'll need to be comfortable working independently, meeting and registering candidates locally and spending some time at our Totton office to work alongside the operations and bookings team and attend branch meetings when required.

What will you be doing?

• Proactively identifying and engaging drivers and other logistics candidates across the local market and our existing database.
• Building strong candidate relationships, keeping in regular contact and generating referrals and recommendations.
• Developing local candidate networks through proactive outreach and market knowledge.
• Screening candidates for experience, licence categories, availability, preferred work and suitability.
• Supporting high-volume and urgent temporary recruitment requirements.
• Meeting and registering candidates, both face-to-face and remotely, supporting Right to Work and compliance requirements.
• Arranging candidate meetings, registrations and interviews, coordinating with the operations and bookings team as required.
• Providing a first-class candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
• Working closely with the Southampton team to maintain accurate candidate information and build pipelines around current bookings and anticipated demand.
• Taking ownership of your candidate network to ensure we're well placed to respond quickly to client requirements.

What are we looking for?

Understanding or experience within driving, transport or logistics is essential, and previous recruitment, resourcing or candidate-sourcing experience is strongly preferred.

We're looking for someone who is naturally good at developing relationships, comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations, and proactive about keeping in touch with people over time.

You'll also need to be organised, commercially aware, self-motivated and able to manage changing priorities in a busy temporary recruitment environment.

This is a full-time position.
