Recruitment Consultant – Temporary Staffing

Poole | Full-time or Part-time | Permanent | Office based
c£30,000–£35,000 FTE, pro rata for part-time hours + monthly commission + quarterly bonus

We’re looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our busy, high-performing Poole branch, with a strong local presence, an established client base and a reputation for excellent candidate and client service.

This is a hands-on role combining client management, temporary workforce delivery and account development in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable juggling priorities, responding to changing client needs and keeping service standards high.

We’re looking for someone to manage and grow our existing client accounts, while also contributing to branch growth by identifying and developing new local business opportunities.

We’re open to fresh ideas too. If you bring experience from another temporary, contract or specialist recruitment market and can see opportunities that could complement what we already do, we’d be interested in hearing them.

What will you be doing?

• Managing existing client relationships, understanding workforce plans and responding quickly to changing requirements.
• Taking ownership of temporary bookings and planning ahead for recurring, peak and short-notice recruitment needs.
• Working closely with our dedicated Resourcer and wider branch team to maintain candidate pipelines and successful fulfilment.
• Keeping in regular contact with clients and temporary workers and resolving service issues quickly.
• Attending client meetings and site visits where required.

About You

Previous recruitment consultancy experience would be an advantage, particularly within temporary, contract or another fast-paced staffing environment.

We’re also open to someone from a strong sales, business development, account management or client-facing background who can demonstrate the pace, resilience and relationship-building skills needed to succeed in recruitment.

You’ll ideally be someone who:

• Enjoys managing client relationships and delivering a responsive service.
• Is organised and comfortable managing multiple live requirements at the same time.
• Takes ownership and follows things through.
• Has a commercial mindset, enjoys developing existing accounts and is comfortable spotting and following up new business opportunities.
• Works well as part of a busy, collaborative team.

A full UK driving licence is required, as the role includes client meetings and site visits.

Working hours

This role can be full-time or part-time, depending on the right person and their requirements..

Our standard full-time hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, but we’re happy to consider different part-time hours or days for the right person.

This is an office-based role in Poole.

Out-of-Hours & Flexibility

We have a dedicated out-of-hours team handling our standard evening and weekend cover. Very occasionally, some light ad-hoc support on a weekday evening may be required, but your primary focus will remain on standard branch hours.
