**Ports Operations Supervisor Required** to join one of the South's leading port operators, situated at Portsmouth's Cargo Terminal.

In this role you will be required to lead the operations team for mooring and berthing at Portsmouth International Port.

This role will require planning, controlling and execution of vessel operations in order to ensure the smooth running of vessel turnarounds and transit calls.

 

Port Operations Supervisor - Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and development of a high performing and driven team.
  • Ensure that all vessel discharge/loading operations are planned, managed, and executed safely and efficiently 
  • Hold the responsibility for implementing the daily operations plan, making sure that operatives are provided with the correct information, instruction, and training in order complete the required KPI’s / SLA’s
  • Assist with ensuring that all the site operations are carried out in accordance with the requirements of all statutory legislation, dock regulations, and Company operational and Health & Safety policies.
 

Port Operations Supervisor - Requirements 

  • Previous Ops supervisory / management experience with regards to vessel discharging and loading operations
  • Able to use a variety of equipment including Tug Masters and Forklift Trucks.
  • Full clean driving license
  • HGV Class 1 - Desirable
  • Strong IT skills evidenced in an operational environment.
