Helping businesses move forward. Quite literally!
An ambitious and growing freight forwarding business is looking for a commercially driven, enthusiastic and relationship-focused Sales Executive to support its continued growth across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and turning conversations into long-term business partnerships.
The successful candidate will play a key role in raising brand awareness, winning new customers, developing existing accounts and growing the company's presence within the UK logistics market.
This isn't simply about sending quotes and hoping for the best. It's about understanding businesses, identifying their challenges and demonstrating how the right logistics partner can make their supply chains work smarter, more efficiently and cost-effectively.
The Role
The successful candidate will act as a trusted logistics consultant, taking the time to understand customers' businesses and identifying opportunities to add genuine value.
With a comprehensive range of multimodal logistics solutions, including road, air, sea freight and customs services, the business has the expertise and flexibility to manage a wide variety of logistics requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities across the UK.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Growing customer accounts by identifying additional service opportunities.
- Understanding customer supply chains and recommending efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Working with UK and overseas offices to develop commercial opportunities.
- Preparing tailored proposals and presenting solutions to prospective customers.
- Managing and maintaining the CRM system (Zoho Bigin) and sales pipeline.
- Following up marketing-generated leads and developing new opportunities.
- Attending exhibitions, trade shows and networking events, with occasional overseas travel.
Experience & Skills
The business is looking for someone with a natural commercial mindset, a proactive approach and the confidence to build relationships and generate opportunities.
Ideally, candidates will have:
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import/export or commercial sales.
- An understanding of international trade, Incoterms and supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities.
The Opportunity
Joining a hardworking, ambitious and growing business, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of their customer portfolio, explore new markets and make a genuine contribution to the company's commercial growth.
This is a role for someone who wants to do more than sell freight. Someone who enjoys solving problems, building partnerships and helping businesses improve the way they move their goods.
If you're commercially switched on, enjoy a challenge and want to be part of an ambitious logistics business with exciting plans for the future, this could be the perfect next move.
After all, the world isn't going to move itself!
