Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Droitwich Spa

Salary:

£43,000 – £47,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-established and respected commercial vehicle manufacturing business based in Droitwich Spa. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and delivering high standards across the transport industry, they are continuing to grow and are now seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team.

The Role:

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy goods vehicles and commercial fleet vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance
• Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and health & safety standards
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records
• Work collaboratively with workshop and production teams

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, PSV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, or fleet vehicles
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• HGV licence advantageous but not essential
