We are seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 Shunter Drivers to support our client at their busy container site. Shifts are available on both day and night schedules.The position is entirely site-based and involves shunting vehicles, managing containers, and assisting with yard operations. The ideal candidates will be safety-focused, flexible, and comfortable supporting warehouse and yard duties alongside driving responsibilities.

What’s on offer:

• Day shift: 6am – approx. 5pm

• Night shift: 6pm – 4/5am

• Guaranteed 10 hours per shift

• Weekly Pay

• PAYE pay:

  • Days: £14.00 per hour

  • Nights: £15.50 per hour

• Ongoing, long-term work with no fixed end date

• 24/7 support from our team

• Pro-rata Paid Annual Leave for PAYE employees

The role will include:

• Shunting HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers on site

• Hitching/unhitching trailers and securing loads

• Working with containers (experience required)

• Reversing vehicles in a busy yard and onto ramps

• Carrying out vehicle and trailer checks, reporting any issues

• Supporting general yard duties as required

What do we need from you?

• Valid Category CE licence (Class 1), CPC & Digi Card

• Licence held for minimum 12 months (6 months considered with experience)

• Container experience (essential)

• DPW Card (can be arranged – approx. £60 inc. VAT)

• No more than 6 points (no INs or DRs due to insurance)

• Positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
