The role

You will be responsible for safely operating HGV Class 1 vehicles, combining night-time road driving with shunting duties within the depot. Duties will also include deliveries and collections, vehicle safety checks, load security, paperwork and electronic documentation.

You will be expected to comply with all relevant Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and Health & Safety regulations, while maintaining a professional and safety-focused approach.

About you

• Valid C+E (Class 1) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV Class 1 experience
• Experience in both road driving and shunting preferred
• Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Commitment to safe driving
• Flexible approach to night work
