Forklift Warehouse Operative/Relief Driver

Location: Southampton
Pay: £14.00 per hour (Weekly Pay)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (12 weeks)
Permanent Salary: £28,000 - £32,300 per annum (depending on experience)

TLP Recruitment Southampton are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established business for a Forklift Warehouse Operative / Relief Driver to join their busy operation on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a varied role combining warehouse duties with occasional driving responsibilities. The majority of your time will be spent operating a forklift and supporting warehouse operations, with opportunities to cover driving duties as required.

There is genuine long-term progression available, including the opportunity to move into a full-time driving role and gain your HGV licence.

The Role

• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
• Loading and unloading vehicles and containers
• Moving stock between warehouse locations
• Carrying out stock replenishment and general warehouse duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Covering delivery driver or driver's mate duties during holidays and absences
• Providing excellent customer service when making deliveries

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience
• Comfortable with manual handling (up to 25kg)
• Reliable with a positive attitude
• Good attention to detail
• Flexible approach to work and willing to support different areas of the business
• Strong communication and customer service skills
