If Bills of Lading, consolidations and vessel cut-offs are your idea of a good day, keep reading...

Our client isn't your average freight forwarder. They've spent 30 years building an impressive reputation in the shipping industry and are part of a global network of more than 100 offices across 30 countries. Safe to say, they know how to get cargo from A to B (and pretty much every other letter of the alphabet).

They're now looking for an experienced Export Operations Coordinator to join their busy Romford office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid export sea freight experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven experience managing LCL consolidation shipments.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing export shipments from booking through to departure, ensuring every movement is handled accurately, efficiently and in line with customer requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing export sea freight shipments from booking through to departure.
  • Planning and coordinating LCL consolidation shipments.
  • Preparing and checking export documentation.
  • Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.
  • Booking cargo with shipping lines and carriers.
  • Producing Bills of Lading and export documentation.
  • Ensuring customs requirements are met and documentation is completed accurately.
  • Tracking shipments and providing proactive customer updates.
  • Resolving operational issues and maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and overseas partners.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience in Export Sea Freight Operations.
  • Essential experience managing LCL consolidations.
  • A good understanding of export documentation and customs procedures.
  • Experience using systems such as Destin8, CNS, CargoWise, ASM Sequoia or similar.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet vessel cut-offs.
