TLP Recruitment are looking for an experienced CNC Saw Operator / Production Machine Operator to join a well-established metal processing company based in Poole.

This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, with the intention of moving into a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working within metal production, engineering, CNC machinery, saw operation or a similar manufacturing environment.

  • Monday to Friday

  • Hours: 07:00–16:00

  • £27,000–£29,000 per annum, depending on experience

  • No weekend work

  • Temp-to-perm opportunity

Your day-to-day duties

You will be working within a busy metal processing environment and will be responsible for:

  • Operating a flatbed Circular Blade Plate Saw via CNC controls

  • Cutting aluminium plate from 6mm up to 200mm thickness

  • Reading measurements and working accurately to specifications

  • Planning cuts to maximise material usage and reduce waste

  • Completing basic production paperwork

  • Supporting Goods-In and warehouse operations when required

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area

  • Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times

What we’re looking for

Previous experience within a machine operating, CNC, metal processing, engineering or workshop environment is highly desirable.

You will also need:

  • Good practical and mechanical awareness

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Confidence working with measurements and specifications

  • A reliable approach to work and good timekeeping

  • A good understanding of workplace Health & Safety

  • Willingness to learn and undertake further training

  • Own transport due to the location and working hours

A Counterbalance Forklift licence would be useful but is not essential.
