TLP are pleased to be supporting our client in their search for a commercially minded, proactive Export Sales Coordinator.  The ideal candidate will be someone who can be adaptable and offer existing clients tailor made solutions to win the business, whilst utilising internal departments and playing a key part in the ever-growing Export Ocean department.

You will be joining a busy Export Ocean freight team who supply customers with tailored logistics solutions enabling them to export their products successfully to new and existing markets.  The primary role will be offering existing client base export freight solutions in order to secure as much business as possible and build and maintain solid customer relationships.  This varied role will also involve offering Multimodal Solutions globally utilising the wider team’s expertise and company’s infrastructure.  In addition, you will be working on business technology solutions to enhance internal efficiencies and the service offering to customers.


What your role will look like:

  • As Export Sales Coordinator you will work closely with the Ocean Freight Manager to achieve department and Company strategy and goals
  • Develop commercial opportunities, being proactive in looking for and taking advantage of all commercial opportunities  
  • Building and maintaining client relations for new and continued business with customers
  • Work closely with Ocean Freight Manager to enhance our effective procurement and supplier management    
  • Conducting customer visits when required
  • Follow up calls with clients on a regular basis
  • Resolving client issues effectively
  • Update Ocean Freight Manager on status of all activities, raise issues and provide solutions regarding work within department
  • Providing logistics consultancy to potential or existing clients
  • Responsible for representing company values professionally
  • Ensuring Customers/Partners are receiving first class customer service


What you will need:

  • Experience in similar role highly advantageous
  • Sound commercial judgement
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Commercial export ocean freight experience 
  • Building and maintaining client relations for new and continued business
  • Understanding of Inco Terms
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • A can-do attitude capable of finding best solutions
  • Exceptional customer service
