Customer Service & Sales Administrator 
Location: Marchwood, Southampton 
Hours: 36.25 per week (alternating weekly schedule - see below) 
Salary: £25k per annum 

Working Hours: 

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid break) 
           Friday: 7:45am – 1:30pm (30-minute unpaid break) 

  • Week 2: Monday to Friday: 7:45am – 4:00pm (1-hour unpaid break) 

TLP Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated Customer Service & Sales Administrator to join a dynamic team based in Southampton. This is a varied role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. If you thrive on delivering excellent customer service and enjoy working in a collaborative office setting, we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Respond to customer enquiries face-to-face, over the phone, and via email 

  • Prepare quotations and sales orders 

  • Answer technical queries and provide product information 

  • Raise purchase orders for job-specific requirements 

  • Generate picking lists and delivery notes 

  • Liaise with logistics partners to coordinate deliveries 

  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation 

  • Complete and issue test certification for customers 

  • Input and manage data on our asset system 

  • Coordinate inspection scheduling with customers 

  • Monitor and manage stock levels 

  • Raise purchase orders for stock, fittings, and stationery 

  • Check and log incoming goods and deliveries 

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at every interaction 

  • Perform general office duties as required 

Essential Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • High level of customer focus 

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities 

  • Computer literate with good data entry skills 

  • Detail-oriented and organized 

  • Effective team player with strong time management 

  • Proactive in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities 

  • Ability to follow up on enquiries and drive results 

Desirable Experience: 

  • Background in the lifting industry and/or knowledge of wire rope products
